Helen Lindell is the proud owner and Director of Baby goes Retro.
Helen grew up in Sweden, but now makes her home on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The initial inspiration for Baby goes Retro was a love of all things retro, and a desire to bring something less traditional to Aussie Mums and Dads.
A keen eye for bold colour and striking design has resulted in a hand-picked selection of very cool labels.
Nature’s Kids is aimed at eco-conscious parents who want something special for their young kids to wear
Our company aims to have a strong eco brand and value set. This is why we want to focus on supplying brands with an Organic and Fairtrade ethos.
Within the UK, there is a widening understanding of the importance of green initiatives, and we think our brand will sit very well within this sector. It is an area of significant ongoing growth and is only set to expand further in the coming years.
Rainbow Connection was born from a love of bright and beautiful children’s clothes.
As a child of the seventies I grew up with a penchant for bold and bright retro prints. When I became a parent, I realised that children’s clothing now on offer in most stores in NZ was rather vanilla AND gender stereotyped.
Then I found Scandi!
Rules Off Play come from a desire to approach children’s clothing in a different way. Frustrated with dull clothing and fabric that caused my son to have a constant rash I started researching alternatives. Coming across bright organic clothing was a revelation to me as a first time mother. The idea of dressing children as mini adults had not appealed to me and I had finally found an alternative. The desire to open a store began 2017 when my youngest child was 18 months I realised that my love for these clothes could be shared with others. The store opened in February 2019 and it has been one of the most intense and amazing experiences of my life so far.

Eco-tots is a family run business, myself (Jacqui), my husband Pete and our little boy Henry.
I have always been eco conscious and tried to do my bit by recycling, energy saving, selling and buying pre-loved items.
When we had Henry we realised in how many other ways we could help the environment but also meet his needs and development, by buying eco-friendly toys, clothes, nappies, slings etc the list is endless.
